A shell is a capsule, a framework that encases an entity, a passenger. During its journey into time its passengers grow, flourish, multiply, fade and die giving place to new ones. All these ephemeral entities transform this material capsule with their volume, their energy, their life. The shell remains as an evidence of their ephemeral existence and the workings of time.
I am interested in the visual and tactile narrating of this trail in a way that the viewer will identify himself with the tenant of the shell, wake from the lullaby of the everyday routine and appreciate the precious transitory existence. |
